Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using finshort ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

finshort provides short interest data, analytics, and related financial information tools. The Service includes both free and premium subscription tiers.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Subscription and Payments

Premium subscriptions are billed monthly. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time, and your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

5. Affiliate Program

Any registered user with a verified email may join the affiliate program at /affiliate. By joining, you agree to the following:

• Commission. You earn 30% of eligible collected subscription revenue from customers you refer, on every renewal, for as long as the referred subscription and your affiliate account remain active and in good standing.
• Eligible revenue. Eligible revenue is subscription revenue actually collected, excluding taxes. Refunds, credits, chargebacks, and disputes reverse the matching commission, including commission that was already paid, which is deducted from your next payout.
• Customer discount. Customers who arrive through your link and start their first Premium subscription receive 10% off for as long as that subscription stays active.
• Attribution. A referral counts only if the customer arrives through your link and starts their first paid subscription within 90 days. The most recent valid link is used. Each customer can be referred once.
• Related accounts. You cannot earn commission on your own account. Accounts that share a network with your account or use a payment method on your account are flagged automatically and never earn commission, though they may keep the customer discount.
• Payouts. Commission remains pending for at least 30 days. Approved balances through the end of each month are paid to your PayPal or Wise email on the 15th of the following month, or the next weekday, once they reach $50. Smaller balances carry forward. You are responsible for any taxes on your earnings.
• Promotion. You may not use spam, misleading claims, paid search ads on the finshort brand name, or imply that you are finshort. You must disclose your affiliate relationship where the law or the platform requires it.
• Changes and termination. We may change program terms going forward, or suspend or close an affiliate account for abuse or a breach of these terms. Commission from fraudulent or abusive activity is forfeited.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit our data without permission
• Use automated systems to scrape or extract data
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service are owned by finshort and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FINSHORT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
